

Evanston kids and adults alike enjoyed access to free health screenings and school supplies Saturday morning at the 2024 Community Day/Health Fair Back-To-School Jam School Supplies Giveaway, hosted by the Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 1744 Darrow Ave.
Professionals from local organizations provided dental care and cleanings, hearing tests, blood pressure checks, diapers and library books to attendees. During a community forum keynote speech, MaryGrace Sharp, a program manager for the Alzheimer’s Association, taught the crowd 10 early warning signs of Alzheimer’s disease to look out for.
