The Beacon Academy Science Olympiad team secured fifth place in Division A for the second year in a row at the Illinois State Science Olympiad, held this past weekend on the University of Illinois campus. This also marks the third consecutive year the Trailblazers have earned one of the 53 coveted bids to the state-level competition against the top high school teams from across Illinois.

Students took part in a rigorous slate of events spanning a wide range of scientific disciplines. Events tested not only deep knowledge of scientific concepts but also hands-on process skills and real-world applications.
The team delivered an impressive performance and came away with an unforgettable experience. Congratulations to these talented students on their hard work, dedication and continued excellence in science.
