The Alumnae of Northwestern University’s Spring Quarter Continuing Education Program courses, open to the public, are offered in person at Norris Center and live-streamed via Zoom. The program features non-credit courses taught by university faculty. All proceeds are given back to the university in the form of scholarships, fellowships, grants, an endowed professorship and more.
Spring Quarter courses are: Media History: Power, Protest, and Passion, taught by Jon Marshall, associate professor, Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications; Knowing the Score: Insights on the World of Sports, taught by Melissa Isaacson, assistant professor, Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications; and Big Ideas for a Better World, taught by multiple professors.
Courses will be taught for nine weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning April 1 through June 5. Enrolled students can attend in person, watch the livestream, and also have access to the recordings of each week’s lectures for a period of six days following the lecture.
Students can enroll online through Norris Box Office, and then scroll down on their email confirmation from noreply@audienceview.com to take the additional step to sign up for the livestream Zoom and recordings. Additional information about the courses is available on The Alumnae’s website. Online enrollment opens Friday, March 7.
“We are excited that students can join us for our 56th year of Alumnae Continuing Education, offering an in-person and/or online version of our long-running series of engaging and enriching courses featuring Northwestern professors,” said Debby Hudson and Kristen Mercker, co-chairs of The Alumnae’s Continuing Education committee.
