The RoundTable is proud to announce the launch of our dedicated landing page for news coverage and information on the local Consolidated General Election coming up on Tuesday, April 1, as well as profiles of the 39 candidates running for offices in the City of Evanston and the school boards of District 65 and Evanston Township High School District 202.
The landing page, which can be viewed at evanstonroundtable.com/2025elections, will be regularly updated with our latest stories from the campaign trail. Closer to Election Day, this will include our traditional voting and ballot guides in both English and Spanish, as well as information on changes to the city’s wards, voting precincts and polling sites taking effect following a 2023 redistricting process.
As a nonprofit newsroom, the RoundTable is committed to providing fair and unbiased coverage of Evanston’s elections and candidates. Details on our editorial policies concerning endorsements, conflicts of interest and more can be found in this editorial note from Tracy Quattrocki, publisher and executive editor, and Mark Miller, board vice president.
Candidate profiles
To aid and enhance our ongoing election coverage, the RoundTable sent questionnaires to all 39 candidates who are registered to run for city offices and school board seats. Their responses were used to build individual profile pages that list some basic background information before diving into the candidates’ motivations for running and views on some of the major issues lying ahead in the next four years.
Links to these profiles are organized and displayed by position on the main landing page. Stay tuned for additional coverage, including video interviews with some candidates and profiles of candidates running for the Oakton College Board of Trustees. You can catch all our election stories by subscribing to our daily newsletter.
For easy navigation, here’s a list that links directly to each profile, with candidates listed in the order they will appear on the ballot:
