Evanston Township High School (ETHS) is now offering an accessible school tour to give prospective students or family members who have difficulty walking an opportunity to participate in a guided tour of the campus, engage with current students, meet staff and learn about the curriculum.
Other ETHS campus tours last about an hour, where visitors walk up, down and around the three-story building. The 45-minute accessible tour will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on September 28 and will feature a slower pace and an abbreviated route, while incorporating virtual stops that highlight second and third-floor spaces. Following the tour, an optional 30-minute question/answer session with current staff and students will be available.
“The new accessible tour is a game-changer for prospective students and families with disabilities,” said Sabrina Stark, one of the ETHS staff members who will host the tour. “This is the result of many years of planning, including receiving valuable input from individuals with limited mobility. Our vision is to foster a more inclusive community and share resources with all future Wildkit families.”

Additional campus tours throughout the school year will provide a more comprehensive exploration of the school’s facilities. Tours are offered in English or Spanish as indicated on the school’s website. Prospective or new ETHS families, District 202 community members, business owners and people who work in Evanston/Skokie organizations or businesses are invited to attend any tour.
